Fishermen's catch sends villagers reeling

<p>Residents at the Fishing Village in Honiara were left stunned when a fishermen from the village brought home 2 gigantic catches.</p>

Our roving Lifhaus and several Fishing Village residents were left stunned when a local fishermen, Masolo Waneasi, showed up with two gigantic catches, first on Sunday and again on Monday night.  "On Sunday night the fishermen arrived with a 3m shark which he was unable to haul onto his tiny canoe so he tied it onto his canoe and paddled with it back to the village."

Batram secures Amical win in battle of money giants

Spirit 08 FC, coached by the former Vanuatu National Team Coach Carlos Buzzetti and laced with its imported Fijians and Australians was prepared to do battle with Amical FC in order to leapfrog Tafea FC to second spot. Amical FC on the other was again prepared to use all its Solomon Islands imports to maintain their spot at the top of the Port Vila League.

Oloketa... ma prayer olowai chu!!

I didn't notice that I pray only during meal times and not so often during other times until yesterday. I  was about to go to sleep when I said to myself  "How  'bout a prayer before sleep?
I comfortably sat up to pray but suddenly I found a different footing "Thank you father for kakai where mi about for receivim ya.." I burst out laughing at myself for I was just reciting my usual meal-time silent prayers. Master come and help the weak!

Flour arrives, water restored and power stable

Honiara residents today welcomed great news that the flour shortage crisis is over. Hot Bread Kitchen immediately opened its doors but bread was not the order of the day, the bakery instead opting for buns.  "There were the cheese buns, the burger bun, the sausage roll but no bread at the Point Cruz Hot Bread Kitchen."  Lifhaus was informed that bread will be available later in the day and from tomorrow onwards.
