Nako, you correct. Each instance you suggest must be investigate fully, and charges need to be laid if the investigations go that way.
There is something very smelly about that ADRA story. I have heard the director of ADRA has his own business doing solar. the old saying "looks nice but smells like 2nd grade" applies
its not a surprise to me to see Mr Lilo hem sacked.
Dr Sikua during his term in office also sacked Lilo because he refused to vote for the political integrity bill....

I think ADRA shud not run business..or else against the law...they shud know that there is not public tender...it public tender bae mi tender for supply to ba...
ADRA have exemption from import duty, it was interesting the boss of ADRA made the point that when the equipments arrives in Honiara Government now bai clearim olketa things lo customs. I suspect suppose this did not come up in the press maybe ADRA carim intent for clearim. Then who nau for installim? ADRA just start for doim procurement nomoa tu? How can the government do the customs clearance if they will not do the installation too?
ADRA have expertise in water supply and sanitation. They do good program but ADRA must now finisim this one boss because hem confusim people and ADRA too long woka bilong hem
However wins this race for PM must bnot use the NGO for thier own political activity.
If Lilo gets in bai yumi trouble ia. Man ia hem carim form
As a matter of principle, I support that ADRA should return the money or withdraw from the deal now! Look lo hem olsem, if I made SBD10M selling drugs. Then I offer it in a "public" tender for solar. You think ADRA or any NGO by come kolsap? No! Because the money is tainted! This deal is tainted and as an NGO of the "proud" SDA church they should do the right thing. Church leaders should ask ADRA to get out or return or allow the property to be auctioned the money given back to the PMO. They should just not proceed further with this. Unless someone will benefit from all this?
Mekolo, I disagree with you on the part that the SDA Church is a "Proud" Church.... Boy, you must have ill feelings about my church... Why do you have such negative perception about my church? Is it because we always preach about the sabbath as the true day of worship...or is it because the BIBLE does say so?
So I request that, you should withdraw your statement

@kokoi/@solo4real, never allow emotions to cloud your common sense and focus on issues.
here is why I made comments about ADRA and the SDA church. best source, website blo ADRA.
"The Adventist Development and Relief Agency International (ADRA) is the worldwide humanitarian aid agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church." For a little history:
"ADRA is an independent agency established by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church's involvement in organized humanitarian assistance goes back nearly 80 years. In 1956 the church created the Seventh-day Adventist Welfare Service, Incorporated (SAWS). The name was modified in 1973 to be Seventh-day Adventist World Service, and in 1984 SAWS was reorganized under the current name, Adventist Development and Relief Agency International (ADRA)."
Simply put ADRA is a very crucial element of the SDA church's mission to evangelize the world. They are fundamental to the church's "proud" message of the remanents, this everlasting gospel to all the world before the end come.
So in a nutshell, it is a shame to see ADRA being tainted in these dealings. I suggested a way out for ADRA which was to acknowledge that the money was not fitting for an organization of its stature! If it allows itself to stoop so low, then it might as well accept donations from drug cartels, prostitution and human trafficking....all issues that ADRA works hard to eliminate!
So I will not call anyone names but remember a numb skull is someone who speaks and has nothing to back them up with. I have spoken, I have justified my position and which church I belong to is immaterial in this discussion. Congratulations to @Solo4Real for your firm stanch on Adventism, I hope you take this with a grain of salt and see that indeed ADRA has not made the SDA church any more better by dragging it through this issue. Next Sabbath time me go pay kabis lo Central Market moa and lukim Francis Feratelia preach about the soon return of Jesus, I will stop for a while and say....ya man, true na you fala garem the spirit of prophecy stret. But next time you preach, mek sure talem ADRA for mekem one fala good PR for disassociatim hem seleva from this MESS. My suggestion is, tell the government your intention "thanks, but no thanks" that will send a powerful message to individuals like me that you are truly a worthy NGO fit to bear witness to what the SDA church is. It is no coincidence that when you speak about ADRA you are talking about the SDA church.
Hahaha! Mekolo ae... True na .... I think I understand now why you always have ill feelings about My Church... It is because we spoke of the truth... We are not "proud" bro... hahahaha... And I understand, that the truth really hurts... esp when it goes against what you believe.... LOL
On the part that, u say bae u go lo Pr Fracis Feratelia... By all means, go ask him... Im sure he will help...And should he direct you to those responsible..The u must... for you find out! But for now, those allegations are mere speculations untill hard evidence is found....
Shame on ADRA. For pipol try to defend ADRA hem wrong too...Why dont you correct your own back yard...for about the church..whether you SDA or Aglican or Wesley United ..or SSEC we all worship one God. In heaven there is no church for those pipol beleive that Church gonna save you ...you better read the bible..it is your soul that God wants..I think we have enough church in Solomons but never those church principles being upheld....Just for your info...ADRA shud return those money otherwise it will see that what you pipol preach every saturday hem no inline wetem oketa worldly doctrine blo iufala ia...so better save your soul rather than church...Amen....
ADRA should deal with this themself. Finish the country manager and return the money sapos no moa next time any ADRA talk aboutim transparency and good governance, well..... you save nomoa
seems like everybody knew very well about the country manager of ADRA.
do not believe in media.... media can be manipulated and is also one of the agents of political instability
in Solomon.
i congratulate the former PM Danny Philip for being a man of action during his time as deputy prime minister under the leadership of late solomone mamaloni.
one fala man askem former PM... bro why na u like standap back moa lo parliment... time u member, you nating duim anyting lo communtiy blo iumi...
then the former pm of solomon islands (Hon. Danny Philip) answered... you takem plane from munda land on henderson airport, that is a project under my leadership...takem taxi drive down to honiara town, the road is a project under my leadership. you stap waitim any wantok blo u lo town and sick... you go lo hospital... again that was built under my leadership as deputy prime minister....
i believe he was selected to be one of the candidates as prime minister because of his leadership style... (MAN OF ACTION)
his believe in development for rural people in terms of economic development led him to negotiate with the shareholders of RIPEL to solve the RIPEL saga. but leaders who have no interest for the future of Solomon islands raise all sorts of comments in the media and accused the former pm....
well what is the point of saying all this....
let me remind every commentator on this subject... that the real political instability in Solomon islands is not about misuse of funds and corruption. but it was external democratic dictators wanting to put the government of their choice to lead solomon islands.
what for??? GOLD!!!
i have the evidences with me....
but i wont raise it to the police because the jurisdiction in Solomon islands is already in their hands...
now Mekoro, stop writing about petty issues and look at the bigger picture....
i must tell you that i am not the one who can let emotions to cloud my common sense....
i rather write about things that affects the heart of all Solomon Islanders.
Guys!!!! I think eventhough how you have said about ADRA, DP or any Big Fish...Its all gone....all the money go lo Bele blo ADRA and DP !!! hahahahahah !!!
ADRA RETURN the moeny or else that thing will still smelly for the rest of your operation in Solomons no matter how far...you and the pipol try to defend you ...lol
bro,
the people of solomon owe in depth thanks and appreciation for the great work the NGOs have done to our shores. and people like you sit and relax in Honiara will never appreciates such assistance.
i have been a former worker of Save the children Australia and i know what is all about NGOs.... i rather supported NGOs that based on Holistic Approach than the ones that are here to further strengthen the presence of the democratic dictators in the solomon islands.
i guess you must have been hurt when i talk high about the former DP but the fact will remain the same, you and i are enjoying the actions of our former leaders.
i don't care about how the funds were used but i am happy that people in the rural arears will soon light their homes. THANKS ADRA
@kokoi it seems that u missed the point ia bro....In Honiara there is no relax bro...where is the development you are toking about...DP is a crook...and thats the fact.If the actions of the former leaders are in good we should not be at this point of time wea pipol riot and anykaen. In the case of NGO yes all of us support that and no one dispute that. The fact that most pipol here are concern is that why ADRA tempted to get the money which is suppose to be for a company in Taiwan and they are the one should be doing the lighting of solar to our homes....dude...
You have said you dont care about the fund were used..but that is corruption...that is why more than 30 years but our rural areas still do that same thing oketa granny before duim nomoa..if oketa life again bae oketa say...ae u guys still olsem nomoa...??? so better get this right before defending the big fish ...and their self serving....attitude...
@kokoi every NGO has an agenda in the name of doing good! Even Earth Islands has an agenda. Honiara no realisim too that this so called NGO (emply volunteers too they say) have so much money. So to answer your question I believe NGO and Aid donors are guilty of keeping Solomon Islands under developed and dependent on the outside world. I am a self made Solomon Islander and proud to be one!
On question of integrity, both DP & ADRA are guilty as charged and no past or future good deed is excuse for Aolomon Islanders to say NO to corruption now!
jsd and mekoro,
i am not defending the big fish and bro i rather talk high about man of action than people who trade this nation like prostitute for their selfish pleasures. whether you like DP or not i must let you know that he is a man of action(refer to my previous comment).
dude, its not the first time that current leaders side track deals made by previous governments. it depends on whoever come into power. i will still remain that DP was removed from being a PM not because of corruption that involves ADRA and others but the BIG FISH you claimed, THE EXTERNAL DEMOCRATIC DICTATORS who want to put a government of their choice to further strengthen their presence in Solomon Islands. so stop commenting on petty issues...
now tell me.... what do you know about the container of gold which was confiscated by special forces of Solomon Islands and was moved to central police station then later released by the PM of your choice. that's what i called corruption.... i guess that container of gold must worth less than 10 million.
PM please give us the money for solar panel....
i have a bro who is part of the mission...but i won't disclosed more information on that...
@ kokoi Still ADRA is an issue here they are mandate to do different thing...and they jump the other horse....
can you disclose.the info..if so dont waste your time telling those history of yours and DP....man of action ...or man of corruption...only if you tell us the info and that info..must be truth and not just an assumptions of yours...whether its big or small leaders must show transparency...
now you get the point dude,
ADRA is the subject of debate....i want you to equally consider every corruption cases in Solomon islands and voice it out on this platform. let me tell you that i rather talk high about man of action than bunch of alter boys who follow the leaders(EXTERNAL DEMOCRATIC DICTATORS) like robots.
and dude, i am not holding on mere assumptions but just started to unveil FACTS that you will soon see it for yourself...
the choice by the former PM to approve ADRA's application is a wise choice for these reasons i suppose.
involving ADRA would make sure
- quality solar sets are issued
- delivery are on time
-transparent reports are prepared and provided to respective authority.
like other NGOs, i believe ADRA is not only interested on getting the work done but making sure the
work is sustainable and achieve high quality.
As a Solomon islander i think our government should work together with our NGOs to implement projects in our community.
like Save the Children Australia, is working in collaboration with AusAid for financing most of its projects.
so rather than giving handouts to tom dick and harry, the government should support well organized structures both with our community and country as a whole.....
so my friends jsd and mekoro, don't take this matter personal. i understand that you have ill feelings against the fund given to ADRA for the earmarked project but wait..... soon our people in our rural areas will light their homes this coming Christmas...
i admire your strong criticism views and suggested it would be better if you could continue to voice every corruption taken place in Solomon Islands.
the matter regarding the container of gold confiscated in 2008 is not a joke.... our nation is full of corruption. not long we will go through another turmoil... and i mean it when i say that.
@Kokoi tell me did i bark like a dog?. the sentiments we all shared is NGO blo church hem barava no luk gud taim things happened the way it had happened , kaikai lo same peleta & sipuni osem PM.& money alleged being mis-used gogo PM step down is that sounds like a dog is barking or you are barking like a dog trying to defend ADRA.
Malivi is just a mere name and dont talk about pikinini bae bone staka thats a national issue koko, the govet & responsible people need to adress including you.
Kokoi the reason we talk all about this issue becos why ADRA involve here when they knew that the PM diverted this money. Let alone those bunch of history of yours about the gold and man of action..what action action lo PM maret 100 times..is that the man of action you are talking about and boasting about you corrupt former PM. I dont care how many time you tell me about other corruptions..the fact that ADRA is a church organisation and they didnt follow the right procedures when getting this project. It is a sad thing pipol like you still crying over the DP step down...if hem step down hem minim pipol no laekem hem na ia..or hao na ia. you seems to be emotional to DP. So stop being to stuborn and clean up your backyard there before starting to talk about others..
I think even DP is gone still same NCRA...nomoa ia..or because DP out na so bae ADRA deals bae stop??? hem na so you worry kokoi??? or hao...nafu na...
oh oh guys...now i can clearly see you are having personnel ill feelings against the former PM....
Malivi and jsd...you are hurt because i talk high about the former DP and the developments done during his term as dupty prime minister under the government of Late Solomone Mamaloni....
-the national referral hospital project
-kumagai road project
-Henderson airport projects....
thats why i am saying he is a man of action....
part lo 02 and 03 life blo wan wan now..... i have no saying on that...i am not a righteous either..i will live that to GOD...
king Solomon have a thousand wife and in history Solomon islands have 4 prime ministers who are 02 and 03...
and they are all from your provinces Malivi....
to malivi, i am not barking like a dog but i provide my suggestions to verify my position...
maybe you and mekolo should now cross your finger and wait patiently for the reports on the ADRA project that will be provided soon to the ministry responsible.
i can use descriptive words but would not stoop down that low to use words that are not appropriate...
so malivi, next time no callem name blo man ba die waitim you... you feedim quiet noma...lol
oh and one more thing...three of us do care about national issues,no doubt about that....
@kokoi first on the word koko, i dnt mean to say koko but mean to say kokoi i forgot to add I.Kind 2fala name ya similar nma ya. my apologies for that and dont rush to make conclusion when i mean otherwise.
Secondly i never argued with you on the issue of what DP did in his term as a DPM so dnt include me on that.as well as on the issue of 02/03 i never talked about those in my replies, did you ever read along the lines? so why say they are from my province when i am not from the West LOL. What i only shared is the truth and it remains that ADRA as the church organisation barava no luk gud for tekem nao seleni from corrupt dealings. and it was that issue and part of the money that DP was accused and consequeantly step dwn. Hard for you say tru ya man osem admitim nma Kokoi.I dont even have personal ill feelings with DP where in my writing did i said that? The report you talked about are mere reports nothing will change, the Name ADRA was tarnished on accepting that $$$$.
U no confuse my fren kokoi luk save lo corrpt dealings & which wan hem no corrupt dealings.& read read gud lo wad nao man write about rather than attackim man that every idea mi write abt same osem blo jsd. so no bark osem doggy garem staka pikinini hahaha le ..aki no
Ok kokoi dont worry bae iumi flow wetem every solar blo ADRA ia na..but what many pipol here really want to clarify is why do we have ADRA in this issue. The question here is that..we should ask ourself....and screen it properly..whther it is right to get the money or not. Everyone will be happy if ADRA or the dealing with this solar thingy follow the right procesures..but because lelebet off road blo DP and ADRA ia na pipol lo SI lelebet concern ia my fren. About the man of action look olsem everyone go MP ia man of action nomoa ia..so thumps up for DP on that one....
you are outter of you mind and try to cover DP so hem bae hard lelebet ia..kokokooooi.......
so I will leave with you to look good before jump and start barkiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing
off course no doubt about that. we need to weed out corruption in any form but weigh the cost and benefit.
jsd, i am not out of my mind. corruption is ripe in Solomon islands and we all know that...
current PM is living in hotel over the years and no one even men like you, mekolu and malivi would take the chance to have a say on that.
so guys nafu for make noise lo petty issue. consider all corruption in any form and contribute productively..
That is why we need to weed out ADRA issue..so whats the deal here Kokoi...same same nomoa ..wether u like weed or not Solomons corruption is the same...and also I dont have any ill feeling about this and also am not living in the Solomon Islands at a moment as well so you guys sort that one out...
So if new govt comes into power,
- bae house long tandai bae investigated?
- ADRA give back 1M
- monies from fund said to give for families/cronies refunded back or ?
- many other issues even for back dating to 10 years ago.

@kokoi - can you please share some of this evidence in this forum so that we can all see the light
As a Solomon islander i think our government should work together with our NGOs to implement projects in our community.
like Save the Children Australia, is working in collaboration with AusAid for financing most of its projects.
so rather than giving handouts to tom dick and harry, the government should support well organized structures both with our community and country as a whole.....
so my friends jsd and mekoro, don't take this matter personal. i understand that you have ill feelings against the fund given to ADRA for the earmarked project but wait..... soon our people in our rural areas will light their homes this coming Christmas...
i admire your strong criticism views and suggested it would be better if you could continue to voice every corruption taken place in Solomon Islands.
the matter regarding the container of gold confiscated in 2008 is not a joke.... our nation is full of corruption. not long we will go through another turmoil... and i mean it when i say that.
i live it for you to think about it.....
kokoi naf for defendim ADRA nao. hem luk gud lo yu Church organisation hem involve lo kind corrupt deals olsem? admit it man.
don't bark like dog Malivi and enough of being Malivi in Solomon Islands....
Nafu for Malivi nao...lol... no good pkikini borne staka....
U no confuse my fren kokoi luk save lo corrpt dealings & which wan hem no corrupt dealings.& read read gud lo wad nao man write about rather than attackim man that every idea mi write abt same osem blo jsd. so no bark osem doggy garem staka pikinini hahaha le ..aki no
Just my point fellas on dis'n about. Malivi right's and hit on the nila head. We need to weed out coruptn in any form.
Irrespective of what Lilo's been accused of, let's give 'im a chance. some times people do change, some from bad to good and others vice versa.
Hahah. take it constructively
That is why we need to weed out ADRA issue..so whats the deal here Kokoi...same same nomoa ..wether u like weed or not Solomons corruption is the same...and also I dont have any ill feeling about this and also am not living in the Solomon Islands at a moment as well so you guys sort that one out...
so am i....
mark my words.....
soon you will be slaves in your own lands...
