He's a new student.

Under a SIG scholarship, he was bound to Laucala for his first over-sea's study.

He was given a two way ticket in Honiara which means that he'll use the same ticket to return home for holidays. But, guess what the poor kid damped his ticket in the bin after disembarking in Nadi.

It was during the end of the year that he was asked for the ticket to have his travel bookings set, "My boe where nao ticket blo u ba?"

To which he replied," ae ma mi torowen lo rubbish lo Nadi finis!"

"Oi ma ae!" came the laughter, " dis wan ya i no Ramos ya my boe 4 u torowei olbout nomoa ticket olsem."

true story - first time on plane

If I were a bit more specific, people visiting this site will know who I am but more importantly who this unfortunate guy would be....but lets just say that I was flying to Brisbane last year.  And I observed a group of first timers on the plane too.  So the seat belt sign goes on and everyone buckles up and this young gentlemen buckles up and then puts a bag on his lap....being a frequent traveller I was quietly anticipating what would happen next....and as it would happen, the stewardess comes up to the gentlemen and says "Sir, may I take your bag?"...to which the young men shakes his head and says "no, I am ok!".....the stewardess insisted but the guy would not relent....so the stewardess kindly explains "airline rules dictate that you must either put your bag underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead locker!"....so the guys says "oh ok" and hands the bag over...the bag was put away safely....but it was the comment from his friend that set me off...."bro, e no bus go lo KGVI ya man!".......

and one other incident someone told me is of a first timer flyer who does not know how to unbuckle the seat belt and resort to taking it off with his trousers. LOL This a real incident.
