Germany shows gap and class

It was a humiliating defeat for the Socceroos.  To add insult to injury, the only person capable of scoring in the team was red carded.  Silly tackle by Cahill but by then the Socceroos were already "kick n kum" on the germans.  But I thought the game really showed the class and the gap between the football powerhouses of the world and our closest and strongest neighbour.  Even Australia has a long long way to go!  I thought Lucas deserved to be red carded too because he kicked, he shoved and did anyone see that clear knee to the back of the german?  That was a professional foul all done in one single motion but clearly intended to harm the german.  Credit to them, the germans played with poise and were professional all throughout;  they could have gone 6 or 8 goals ahead.....the only thing I did not like was the commentators repetition of Klose's threat to break the mark set by Ronaldo's 15 goals....it is unfair because Klose scored the bulk of his goals in 2 or 3 games where the margin was so huge (eg. 8-0 against Saudi Arabia) while Ronaldo scored consistently in almost every game in 2002 and in 98.  Based on quality, I would take Ronaldo's 15 over how many Klose scores by the end of this WC.

I first thought that the game

I first thought that the game would be a fairly fought one by both sides..so I went to bed last night quite early (@1:30am..i.e the earliest so far) with an aim to wake up early to catch the excitement.....I was up early to see the singing of the n.anthems. When the game kicked off, Germany however dethroned my expectations and left me mesmerized with their style n passion. I think they've got the possesion well too early for the AUSSIEs to catch up.
They have a way with getting pass a wall of defenders, may be that would change if they meet any team of any suprior status than the Down Under boys, but if the style of play that they're putting on now is a tactic to come by, they'll surely be a team to watch in this year's World Cup finals...
Anyways I'm still waiting for my team Portugal to take the feild...

To me a Real Ronaldo is the one you see on the field. If hem no play ma for the sake of the game hem no Ronaldo na ya...I think some Ronaldos have finished DOING their well performed task of entertaining us already ya n I'm one of those amused ones.
But I think I'm so gonna support the side which you've claimed has the false Ronaldo...he's still too good so GO PORTUGAL GO!!

another interesting day

ronaldo did not show up. some fancy footwork, an obvious dive early. what if drogba had showed up earlier, he was impressive. kaka did not show up too. few brief bright moments. brazil could not break the defense of DPR Korea but barely managed to win 2-1 and most people were suddenly relieved. All Whites scored a well deserved draw. but world cup must start for warm up nao.

Juts commenting on the

Juts commenting on the Portugal n Costa Rica match. I'd say it was indeed one of the toughest match so far. The Africans really did a wonderful job-ball-handling wise, defence and goal creation chances n u can add some more. I'd say they've done really well to avoid the stylish Ronaldo from advancing where there was chance for him to go at the goal mouth.
As a Portugal fan I was made to take the edge of the seat and I must confessthat Costa Rica is a team to beat....However, I'm still hoping that Portu willlift the bar of their performance in the coming games. But ya may the best team wins.

great players show up when it

great players show up when it matters most.  thats why the real Ronaldo is highly regarded and named as an all time great.  8 goals in 2002 is a remarkable feat.  r baggio was another great but he will always be remembered for his horrendous miss in the 94 finals.....c.ronaldo may want to change names or at least live up to the hype. otherwise he will only be remembered for his diving.
