This fala Zama ya tok tok tomas! Hem who ya? Eni way maybe this fala report lo Solomon Star hem lelebet mekem olsem fault blo doctor and government na umi garem poor health services. Doctors becos oketa no staka and news lelebet mekem olsem becos doctors runnim private as well as waka lo hospital na problem! Gavman becos hem no trainim staka doctor! This one hem true but sometimes hem one side lo story nomoa. System hem stap ya for umi accessim health services. Firstly, you go lo area health centre or clinic blo u for lukim nurse. Sapos nurse hem sendim you go lo hospital hem minim dat case blo u doctor na fit for lukim. Too many times umi feel sick nomoa umi fo stret lo #9 na. In dat way umi mekem oketa nurse n doctor lo #9 busy nating nomoa for give panadol for sick wea fitim for local nurse. Lo u nomoa fixim. So me lelbet disagree lo ting ting wea gavman n doctors na to be blamed. People. Lo umi must understand that if umi followim proper system by some fala something hem flow. No gud go wait 8 hours for panadol, you wastim time blo u seleva and doctor! So next time ting ting good before you go straight lo number 9. Hem nomoa ting ting blo me!

Zama is just doing his

Zama is just doing his groundwork for next election. He must appear concerned for the people and by the looks of things, he is doing a great job. As long as he does not forget his responsibilities as a city councillor. No gud boss ba confusim HCC and parliament! LOL

The medical service is not

The medical service is not good. Too many people go for lukim doctor but doctor leave them for too long gogo siki em go worse and then fitim for die nomoa. thats why they call No. 9 5050. yes doctors are short but yes they all work private. mostly doctors get their study on a scholarship so doctors owe something to the community. This problem was there before Zama spoke about it and it will be there time Zama em no save tok about it

health services

bara,i think we really need to look at the service that is provided in the refferal hospital and you me no takem lightly becos problem long there finish and what are the SOLUTIONS to the problem.
Good cutomer service nao you me likem.
To say there are clinics around for our people to go hem bad excuse, just imagine if the clinics are closed during nights and afternoons.
Now the other thing Zama was telling was, only nurse Aid/Registered nurse/student nurse doing the diagnose.
Iam pretty sure, they should only triage patients and Doctors to do diagnose,This was not the case in the refferal Hospital.
I would rather support the former hospital CEO COMMENT that there should be a change of policy for Doctors.
Thank you bara

You see the problem is we do

You see the problem is we do not understand that accessing health services involves a process. The process is failing because people are ignoring this process. The point is government can fill the hospital with a lot of doctors but if we continue to ignore the process we will always have a full hospital. Go lo clinic and demand a doctor there.

health service

Mekolo, thanks for your view in regarsd to the service .I would say that the process you mentioned is always a hiderance for quality service. Now the question is how would you mekolo helped to look beyond the process as we are dealing with humanity.

mekolo, what process you

mekolo, what process you talking about? person gets sick, goes to hospital. expects to get treatment.
do you meant the process breaks down when people try to shortcut the system? Bara, that one is happening right through the country, that is why so many things are not working - tingim ministry of lands etc etc

Thanks @taf laef, gud simple

Thanks @taf laef, gud simple picture nao ya. Time people sick oketa demand for lukim doctor, rush go lo no. 9 but maybe all they need is panadol and a good rest. Because a lot of people do this, we put no. 9 under pressure. Remember its officially called the National Referral Hospital for a very good reason! LOL. I wish some Dr on this forum might comment on this!

bara,i think quality service

bara,i think quality service is what everybody want. Now some of these patients has been seen several times in the clinics with same complain and these patients cant afford to go to Private Doctor so thats how they ending up to the Hospital.Secondly the word refferal is always an excuse used by those wantoks in the hospital for not attending those patients.....Wantok what we want here is how would we improve the service.
thanks
