King Aurther's knights of the round table were men of honor and integrity.  i am led to believe that knighthood maintains those very simple principles.  when commonwealth countries adopted that system, a knighthood was confered under very exceptional circumstances.  In the Solomon Islands, i see those standards greatly eroded and the Queen's "table" is smeared and accommodates less deserving knights.  This must stop and our government must relook at itself and make a stand against the practise of giving knighthood to friends, cronies and idiots...latest case in point - Trevor Garland.  Does he really deserve this honor?  Can Solomon Islanders really say that it endorsed this?  Can people like Allan Kemakeza continue to be "honored" as Sir when they are criminals bringing disrepute to the Queen and her honor.  I mean it is such big deal and here we are handing it out like lollies for children in the park.  It is shameful and we must stop this now! Australia abolished this in 1985 or thereabouts....the one thing Garland and Moti share in common is that they would have never made it in Australia...not as a Sir nor as a top shot lawyer!!!!...so they search out the idiots in our government who act with no thought for integrity....now Garland can be a proud Sir in a country that no longer wants to use it anyway...i say abolish it now because it no longer has the integrity and honor it was originally intended for.

Beloved knighthood

I bow in respect of our previous recipients of 10 or more years ago. They are more deserving and respected 100times over than those of recent. Pardon me when i say recent i mean the likes of Garland and Kemakeza????
We the 100% solomon islanders should witness their efforts in obtaining one. We may say so much about Garland, he has indeed put so much into helping the sick and the needy S.I'landers there in Sydney. One may need to research the foundations of the trust to comprehend the efforts he has endured from his family heritage. Ps. when i look beyond Kemakeza, it must be a typo error!!!. I knew of an Allen Qurusu(former MP now deceased) who has sailed around our war-torn zones during the ethnic tension, harrassed and threatened to meet and negotiate with militants towards a peaceful treaty when under the reigns of a Mr Kemakeza!!!. Ps, ps, ps, these recent knighthoods needs to be reviewed. With the Garland case, is that reasonable enough? As with the Kemza knighthood, it must be a typing error???!!.

I think Allan Kemakeza was

I think Allan Kemakeza was made knighthood because he brought RAMSI to SI during his time as PM. If there is any way to review knights then I think Allan Kemakeza should be in the list. This is because it was also during his time as PM that he committed the offence that took him to jail recently.
