Friends, this story originates from Titiana Village, Gizo Is.

But before i tell this story, allow me to explain this Gilbertese word.

"Paake" simply means casual working on logging ships for the kiribati people, however, the people of the Western Provice has the accent of PAAKE instead of saying F**k.

Story is like this, a neiko's husband was a policman. One day this policeman(neiko husband) did not turn up to office and went working casually on some logging ships, instead.

So his collegue arrived at Titiana and found his wife sweeping infront of the house.

Policeman: Neiko, wea na Husband blo you?

Neiko: Hem go Paake!!

Policeman: What??????? ma u no cross(angry) yia??? he said surprisingly!!!

Neiko: Saaaaa....ma sereni yia!!!

hahah..poor neiko!!

after much debate the popular 'holy night' song was selected.

baka long renbel interupted..'ino hori, hori man, hem hoti, hoti..'
baka long soa shout go nao..no olsem iaa..hem 'fori, fori..'

At Mendana, our three friends above were too drunk so the fourth guy took over and started the song..
