Our Telekom has rebranded itself both in name and in appearance. Corporate colors have been changed to red and the latest addition to its makeover is a redeveloped website which was "softly" launched last night at 3:25AM. "A soft launch is standard industry practise which allows customers to get a preview of a website. Using feedback and allowing it time to see how the website performs in the real world allows developers to tweak it until it meets expectations", the developers commented.
The company is planning a more formal launch by the middle of the coming week. However, the site is already publicly accessible and available on www.telekom.com.sb

"There are a lot of new features we will be incorporating into the website and if you get an "Access denied" error its most probably because the feature has been disabled", Our Telekom's webmaster commented. The project has suffered numerous delays and is already 8 months outside schedule. "Most of the delay was caused by other work priorities and the availability of team members". This project was done by a team of developers, a collaboration between the Sales and Marketing department and the Information Systems department, LIfhaus was informed.
The developers of the new website hope that the site will allow customers to do some basic transactions, participate in surveys and apply for services directly on the website. "These are the features that will become fully available during the formal launch".
In other news, Lifhaus has been informed that Our Telekom will soon diversify its web hosting services and offer customers a Linux/Apache hosting environment. "This will also represent a significant change and offer variety to our clientele", Our Telekom webmaster said.
Lifhaus will bring you more details as the story unfolds and will bring you a full wrap up of the story in upcoming news items.
