Fellow Job Seekers, Just a quick observation that might actually work. Write lots of applications.. one to each company, hand them in, and wait. I've know Companies and Managers who are in need to fill a vacancy but do not have the time or resources to place vacancies in the newspapers.
I've known Managers who when the need arises choose to look through the one or two applications they received yonks ago to see if that person still needs a job.
Solomon Islands is Crises Driven and not process driven as one mentor puts is. This means we react at the crises stage and do not have look ahead processes in place half the time. When companies finally realise the need to get someone, they have reached the crises stage, and what better way to get that someone than if their CV is already at hand..
Happy job seeking.
