The Solomon Islands Government has released its Pre & In Service Awards 2010.  The much anticipated list has been published today in the Solomon Star.  Lifhaus acquired a copy and is pleased to provide the list online.

It is interesting to note that certain names are without provinces while others do have interesting provinces listed beside their names.  The pre-service scholarship list is provisional but also contains those that are without schools.  This will certainly raise some concern to any discerning citizen.  Simple oversights maybe but public information needs to be correct and in order.

The list however does not include those awards given by donors such as the Australian Government, the New Zealand and Republic of China awards.  Speaking with Lifhaus a concerned parent said "The entire list of scholarship awards should be made public so that we are all aware of who is going where and to do what".  He claimed the list released on the Solomon Star does not include information that is important such as what type of study and the duration of such studies.  "These are information that are important for the public to know - this is the Information Age so any valuable information that will affect Solomon Islanders especially those of us who are tax payers is important."
