Only 1,581 people of people in East Kwaio thought Sasako was fit to be MP again.  The rest gave Sofu an overwhelming majority.....So after all the drama all the talk ma people say Sofu instead.  Boss ya no any single noise nao me herem.  Suddenly, hem appear back lo Solomon Star an umi no herem any tok tok about election finish go ya.  Well, I suppose he took the loss very badly.  The truth Sasako needs to come to grips with is the days when the people of East Kwaio were impressed with the learned journo from overseas are long gone.  Sasako should by now understand that the people of East Kwaio do not give a hoot about the power of the pen.  Let alone someone who lives in Brisbane and says he cares n can represent their interests!  Many like Sasako tried in this year's elections and all of them failed!  Let that be a lesson for any more new ones trying their luck in 2014.  People now mature lelebet for lukim dat man stap waitim oketa nao understandim problems blo oketa.  R Hou was earmarked for leadership for a long time by his people, he finally relented this year to compete, so hem not like all others who lived comfortable lives overseas and then returned to compete in the elections.

Neo, Good comment. But mind

Neo, Good comment. But mind you, Sasako lived overseas and won in 1997. The same could be say about Rick Hou. I guess Sasako messed it up when he was the rep of the Kwaio people. So the people had passed judgement on him during his time as a leader not in recent media campaign. Rick will be judged the same away as well.
As with the power of the pen, I'm a firm believer of that. Had Sasako picked the right issues and played with great respect he would regain his status. Instead, it fired back on him. Your assumption that those who are living abroad should learn is irrelevant. You contradicted that by approving Hou's election victory. Hou had to leave the World Bank because he had only two months left on his contract. He lost nothing.
Back to Sasako, there were some rumours that he intended to launch a petition against Sofu. The details of his proposed petition is unclear.
What Sasako does not know is that the world has changed and there are many promising and talented journalists in our country who have gone past him. He is no longer the one who can claim that he's the supremo. No.
However, don't be surprised if PM Philips appoints him as his Communication advisor not his press secretary. There is a differece between the two, guess what? Perks.
