As the nation waits in anticipation of an official announcement from parliament, Lifhaus sources are also on site awaiting the outcome of the election of the Prime Minister.  After the latest defection of Hon. Manasseh Sogavare to the Heritage Park Hotel camp, many citizens are now left to wonder who will eventually win the leadership tussle.

Speaking with our News Desk this morning, our source revealed, "...the process is so secretive that even in the chambers; people are also unaware of what is happening and what will happen next."  Lifhaus hopes to break the news of the elected Prime Minister as soon as it comes to hand.

11:12 AM | Our sources say that voting may have ended and the counting has begun.  There is still no clear indication of how the voting turned out.

11:17 AM | Security remains high.  No reporters in the parliament chambers except the Speaker of the House, the Governer General and the Clerk to Parliament who are administering the elections.

11:27 AM | Lifhaus sources indicate that Hon Danny Phillip is the Prime Minister elect.  Results were 23 for Hon. Steve Abana and 26 for Hon. Danny Phillip.  Official announcement soon.

11:29 AM |  It is official, the Governer General has made the announcement at Parliament House.
