I have seen that article in the solomon star where derrick sikua complained about the intent to sale the government beach front house at tandai to namson tran. namson has been allocated this house but he has never stayed in it. instead he has put his workers and CDO into the house where they enjoy free telephone, water and power. Now i have heard the sale of this house has gone through last week. namsons boys are cutting down tree and ready to put the place to repair.
danny phillip is doing this to keep Livesex government.
this house is supposed to be for a minister. it is the one where nelson ne'e stayed before

Gov't Corrupt deal to Namson

This is really unfair and disgusting...a reflection of the current DP Government.
government houses under the jurisdiction of PMs Office or Cabinet should not be sold at all..for whatever reason. The Gov't has ran out of houses since 1978 and very soon the one at Lengakiki will be sold as well.

Namson the saviour?

The truth will come out whether Namson is the saviour of West Honiara people

or he has a real buisness agenda, which is casino

He has to block Heritage Hotel from getting a casino licence

Tandai House Clarification

Lets not get too scratchy with words here, please be sure to put your facts right before making statements, the house is not occupied by his CDO as stated, the CDO lives at White River on his own house so don't throw your own make ups to this topic, if the government decided to sell the house, what's wrong with it? Hon. Tran would be committing crime if he's purchasing the house illegally and not according to the procedure but everything was done according to the book, so I suggest you better find your facts right before making statements, so that you don't mislead the public, and the bills of the house is paid by Mr. Tran himself and there's no telephone in that house so next time get your facts right before making statements.

ok then brian, if it is not

ok then brian, if it is not his CDO living in there then he does have an office there.
And can you be so kind as to inform who is resident in the house since last year?
It is NOT namson living in the house. Namson has NEVER lived in the house. Or perhaps you can inform us of otherwise?

Its just like this, I don't have any aprt in the purchasing of this house, that is enitirely up to the government and responsible authourities to deal with, its no the first time that the government to sell its properties, its been happening since day one until today, my point is that some information that you've mentioned such as misusing of telephone and power and water bill is untrue, if you want to bring this to the spotlight, you r wasting your time, we all can say anything we want to say but what's the end result, life's not fair, some things are not meant to be, but after all all we can do is this "how ba topic ya givim umi any bag rice! Note that we share here not

Note that we share here not bcos it gives us rice or what ever benefits , we share our thougths bcos we care about our country, Solomon islands. The government of the day must be accountable of whatever dealings they make since they looked after everyone of us. Serving only their cronies is not accetable in anyway and it doesnt show their quality of true leadership.

To say that past government have been doing it doesnt meant that we have to do it again corruptly. If this generation of leaders can dicern and correct the mistakes of the past then we are saving our country. It is our responbility to make positive contribution and make a change, or is anyone here fear to be removed from their CDO post and trying very much to be so protective? After four years we will look back and see the mess we have been creating.think about it. Its time we make a change and contribute positively. Barava here nogud nma kind type contribution osem wasting your time osem ya. we dont need such negative contribution it is totally uncalled for on this site.

I fully agree with Doddy........ If you say bae talk aboutim topic ya no bringim iumi benefits then why do you do you waste your time to post your comments here??....We need to contribute information here so that time somefala lo iumi become leaders, they are well informed and can take better or appropriate actions whenever the need arises....that is in my opinion the reason why we need sites or forums like this.... We need diverse perspectives to be well informed

In relation to what Doddy has said about looking at past governments as an example to make corrupt actions become legitimate...I would like to say that every election year MPs always talk about bringing good change... but when they are involved in corrupt dealings they say 'Oh ma past government duim too'....Is this what the kind of change wea iumi tok about last time na ya?..... i want to remain impartial in

i want to remain impartial in this debate since Lifhaus is impartial.

However, Brian brought to light a topic that is important - "Netiquette".  Simply means how we conduct ourselves online (on the internet).  It does allow for anonymity so there is nothing wrong with those who chose to go that way.  Additional benefit is it allows people to express themselves without fear of being ridiculed. In this way people can fully express themselves.  Others, like Brian, are more comfortable with expressing themselves using their real names.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with either approaches.  The important consideration is everyone must understand "netiquettes" and conduct themselves online in a responsible manner.

With regards to this debate, I am of the opinion that discussions must remain factual but people must also be free to express themselves regardless of which side of the fence you are on.  Personally, I agree with those who argue that there should have been more transparency regarding the sale of this house.  At the same time, I also support Brian that if we must state some "facts" lets back them up.

Finally though, this topic is good healthy discussion because the bigger picture points to issues on transparency, leadership, development etc.

Some good reading can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netiquette

"Simplicity is an art" |  The views and opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of the people, institutions or organizations that I may or may not be related with unless stated explicitly.

Yeah wadever. whilst

Yeah wadever. whilst respecting everyones contribution on this site discouraging others to contribute positively is uncalled for kind type wastim time blo ufala osem ya. I still bilieve on this site since this is the only site where young Solomon Islanders were able to share their views, interact with each other positively, storim about good samtin for kadere blo umi. grafixFarm thanks again for sharing Netiquette". Save nomoa samfala lo mifala no sikulu gud too ba but i am so pleased that i have learned alot since knowing this site. it encourage me so much to share wadever little knowledge i have especially sharing positively in one way or the other for our beloved country Solomon Islands.

Recently i was really challenged on a workshop i joined. Some-one raise up and said youg people lets not blame or talk about the wrongs of the past government but lets dicern and lets not make the smae mistake again and again. If the next generation of leaders can do this hopefully the percentage of corruption in SI will be greatly minimised or reduced to a level where we can be proud leaders/nation.

On the topic of Tandai house sale i go with others on the issue of transparency and accountability. Time government hem tok about this and do otherwise hem no luk gud tru ya.To you Brian i respect your views 100% but time you say ufala wastim time nomoa mibara disagree. Indirectly i assume that our positive contribution for the good of this nation on this site is just a waste of time noway, this is our country and even you stap lo Solo or other countries we have the rigth to contribute positively in one way or the other for the good blo kadere blo umi.

We are all leaders in our own capacity, in our families, community, church or sport teams etc and if we can make a change on those small areas there will be a big positive change in many areas of our country.

Currently especially lo Honiara we have Social problems, every day people drink kwaso even residential areas were like clubs, families break up, 02 to 010. This are problems which will surely crippled our nation if we not dealt with properly. We have to make small changes somewhere and lets not say others duim cme nao so umi duim too.

It is a total mockery on Governance. How do u justify the process through which the house was obtained? This is all cronyism at its best. The CDO ( Brian) doesn't give a crap about this because he knows nothing about governance. He is just a mouthpiece for Namson. I can see how much of an ego

I can see how much of an ego u have there Brian. Remember the moment Namson is out of Parliament you will also be out of your job. Now when that happens we will see what circle you play in son.

As to the issue at hand it is an insult to all decent Solomon Islanders out there. Our hopes and wishes for this great country continues to be snuffed out by the likes of your boss and his friends. An action you expressly condone. Now that begs the question, in whose interest you serve as a CDO? Oh well BT just displaying

Oh well BT just displaying his arrogance and mental ability. as they say 'you cannot teach an old dog, new tricks' so likewise, BT is of the strand dat run on one gear nomoa. Of course, we will go ahead and talk within our circles, walk the talk within our own circles which incidently might be a bit more successful then yours too. no assume we are poor solomon islanders who have nothing better to talk about. i support Doddy, the challenge for you is will you and your MP make any difference to the lives of those in your constituency or are you going to pretend you are the kingpin, the big men (ya Bob Marley, rastafarian bullshit) who has got West Honiara firmly within his grips with nothing to show for it? A few months ago a young Honiara City councillor Jacob Ramoli fixed a road at Panatina. now that is the true definition of someone walking the talk...you and your MP? please!!!!! no way near..so how can you and your MP do the same thing too? With all your big talk and cash, can you honestly make a difference to the lives of those at White River...can you address land issues, illegal squatters, SIWA and landowners, White River market. Can you help business like Rain Tree Cafe improve? Maybe not, instead we only hear of your MP pocketing a government house and probably a casino license along the way too! Corruption nomoa...you have demostrated all throughout that you have no idea about how the simple solomon islander feels about a lot of things wrong with this government and MP's like your boss. it is people like you who will drive this country down the drain and sell it for 1 piece of silver...what a sad life! I see

Well, Mekolo, I think u need to change your batteries, ating mekolo blo u hem flat, from my point u have a personal grip on me and my MP, Right now its me and my Mp's turn to deal with west honiara, so you just saw someone fixed the road is a big news to you! like I've always said small brains will always think small, all the issues you've raised about the developments issues, none of them will help the welfare of my constituents, Rain Tree Cafe? a private business, what's it got to do with us! We have a frame Work, a policy that guides us on the development issues of West Honiara, you want prove go to the Ministry of MRD and check our retirement and you'll find out which MP is actually working, like I've said again empty talks, you don;t know anything about the development of West HOniara and you can't do nothing about, I can and my MP can, so I guess you just sit back and work quietly for you income to sustain yourselves. YOu said I do not know about the problems affecting Solomon Islanders, I tell you that I deal with thousands of people to help improve their lives in whatever we can assist them with the funds, I don't sit and talk, I work my talk and that's the difference between you and me, i make things happen and you don't, do your home work on what had take place over the past 12 months in west HOniara and come back to me to start this discussion, anyways back to the point, about the Tandai house, it's a dead end! and about the casino license, just be carefully with your words, you are damaging the character of a Member of Parliament and it's a serious crime, just helping you out in case this thing burst out, you might find yourself on the wrong unhappy end, I don't talk cheap, you wanna know why, cos that's what God has made me to do, what's yours, find out, it might brighten your life rather then be a dead weight wasting space and precious time!

Was there a overwhelming

Was there a overwhelming public interest for the sale of the house to Namson to go ahead? Nope. Is it a government policy to sale government houses? The answer here is also No. How do you still claim everything is according to the process when there is no basis for the sale to take place? When they are caught with their pants down they scream its legal (That will come to test through the courts ).But is it ethical? Rationality dictates that as an MP in the government he should be the last person in the world to advocate selling government property. Its not a buffet ia for u go self service seleva.

It is now obvious who Namson Tran is. Mr CDO might want to help salvage his boss character. Well birds of a feather flock together.

I was using sarcasm there Brian.Well couldn't blame you for taking it literally. Guess u didn't get what i was implying when i say u put on weight. Mi no like kaikaim u gele lelebet LOL. I used that as a way of conveying doubt with a pinch of sarcasm to your boastful assertion of helping thousands with the constituency funds. Simple as that.

There is no forth coming explanation from you concerning the issue. For a person who claims to know the facts , we need you to outline your boss side of the story. On the contrary you sounded more like someone who has nothing to offer apart from your dead end explanation. We cannot settle for what our conscience say its wrong nor accept such corrupt practices. Your position on such matters shed light on what kind of person you re as well. We are not going to just sweep that issue under the carpet and live life as if nothing happen.

I said that God does not put you as a CDO to emphasize a contrast between you and Namson (You + Namson = 1) and God. Further more to alienate whatever half truth you want to shove down our throat especially by coating it with the word God.

Well I might not call the shots now but whoever does now seems to me a pretty stupid person.

one more thing!

One more thing CyBORG! everyday, i help out the people of this country to address issues affecting their lives, their well being and livelihood. NOTHING BUT COMPLAINS! you just the rest complaining and complaining, well there are three types of people in this World;

1) Those who complains a lot and never do anything

2) Those who dreams a lot but no have no vision

3) Those who make things happen

I make things happen and it's what God has made me to do* you are in number 1, complaining, that's what you're good at, well keep on complaining and hiding in the dark, for that is exactly the type of person you are in life, my advice, if you believe in reincarnation, prayer that in the next life, you should be a little bit different!

Those who call the shots can

Those who call the shots can dwell in their illusions that they re the best. From outside looking in ummm not a good picture.

I am implying here an element of doubt. Meaning u helpim pipol or u kaikaim seleni yia coz u grow big just a way of making a subtle irony there. Hope you understand now. And u did not give it back to me. You just no gettim and now trying to save face.

Read both of your posts and see how much you mentionim about the Tandai house. Nothing and yet you try for say mi na off topic.

The pen name is not the issue here as far as this discussion is concern. And calling people names just mekem u look foolish lo this discussion board.

Once again you suppose to help people in your position as a CDO. That is your Job that is what u supposed to do. Feel good about it. But to boast about something you suppose to do ummm doesn't really make u special. we contribute in our own ways and its not for you to know how.

Well if u really discuss in your posts then u might see this as a discussion. We make points but you never dare to at least give your opinions on those points. That makes me wonder if you re really smart as you claim to be.

And lumping people on your assumption just makem u lusim credibility blo u. One reminder just don't resort to word such as GOD to build your case.

One more thing try to stick to the point. Wonder if they teach you how to argue lo Saint John Community

HEHEHE

Hehehe! typical Solomon Islander, kaikaim Seleni ya! heheheh! true na, that's you guys mentality, man yah kaikaim seleni, if it makes you feel good that way then be my guest, but you're wasting your time on the topic. The tandai house has a new owner, like it or not worry blo you ya! You said I don't make any point to the topic, my point is clear, ITS A DEAD END! what more do you want! I've made myself clear all the time, don;t waste you precious time, its done and there's nothing you can do about it!

So if man hem grow big! hem meanim man kaikaim selen na, I am a public servant ad I get paid by you taxpayers,u na nee for stick to the point how running out of words? need some help, St. John High School can help you with some word and how to argue, I'm an offspring of St. Johns Community High School, what's your problem with it, Im proud to be an ex St. John.

I mentioned God coz I acknowledged him as my God in life, I depend on him everyday, When I say only the best call the shots, I mean in it, no matter how good you think you are because of you're of some caliber, i got 4 words for you " I MAKE THINGS HAPPEN" and sorry but you don't!

So lets leave it this way, I've got better things to do, I made my point, you've made yours, you don;t agree with me, I don't agree with you, so what's the point!

But before I rest my case; I always win in the end!

XOXO

Brian, you sound it so nice

Brian, you sound it so nice but not professionally .My argument is all about the transparency and accountability on the sale of the Tandai House.Common sense say it all that its not rigth/proper the way it was sold. did you still accept such mal-practice in the public sector?.You answerem seleva dat wan.

Secondly i was making a point that frame work without action is nothing and equals to zero. There must be action. if you are challenged on this thats good that is exactly the message i want to put accross to everyone who read my comment. Hao Hem touchim you so you wantime attack kam nao? thats rigth, bcos hem meanim barava kasem nao part wea hem wound ba.

Your personal attack kam about name Doddy ba and all these stuff. You save fren barava natin movum mi lelebet hem jus mekem mi laf gud man, bcos mi no kind type you sacar kam osem & mi take it personal. What are you trying to say about doddy Brian, everywan sae nma ya you no need for storim kam lo hia hem name nomoa ya.& i am still talking not dead and not a million air either. John but umi save kolem Dione osem nma ba for hem luk kam.U meanim name nma ba. haha

Ok lo point wea you said that you action your words and helped many people thats good, i am proud of you Brian for actioning your words , that is the way forward. Keep it up,and continue to excel, that is what all of us who shared on this forum want.Action speaks louder you dont need to tell us,mi lo west Honiara too ba,luk luk gud lo frame work ya.

But on the part you said i have done nothing nao you barava 100% wrong, Brian sorry i dont boast about what i have done to my people or for this country and will never boast about it, thats my principle. To be honest & just for your sake i have done far far better to the nation than what you did to West Honiara and sing about it on many verses on this forum. You far far away tumas lo mi compared to what i did to this nation and to my people Brian. But as i said i never wanna boast about these and wont dwell on it.after all i am still a simple Solomon Islander that will never change, i never envy to become a CDO, i can still done better in my own small ways.No cross yet try for understand.

To conclude, reading all your contribution and posts on this forum all of us readers can easily tell what type of person na you and what levels of understanding you have, its no use arguing with unlearned person, their mind set being pre-set and can never absorb and come to terms what others were trying to discuss/say. Again nogud you tekem mi wrong moa & say dat you no school, nomoa, you narawe too but bro you need to open up lil bit and try to understand what others where trying to share. May you have a nice day, please dont disturb your neigbours with loud music this week end give them a quite week end sometimes.be considerate!

Ting ting blo mi

Brian, Brian, Brian...are u actually reading the words you are writing? Come on man, you are a L9/10 public officer! Start acting like one and please contribute constructively to this debate. You do know how to make an constructive argument don't you? Why do you have to be all defensive about this topic? Don't forget that as a public officer you have to watch what you say in public forums, CDO's can be replaced pretty easily and your comments are not making you, the MP and West Honiara look good. You are just a pawn in this game, a game telling from your comments you know very little about.

Try and be humble with your achievements coz right now you sound like a politician. Hon. Tran na MP not iu!

Remember Mr. CDO that there are real people on the other end of this forum not just a keyboard. People who have a hell of a lot more influence than you. People who have shed their blood, sweat and tears for our Hapi Isles even before you became CDO. Dis taem nomoa iu helpim pipol, taem iu holem big selen ia! You need to realise that other Solomon Islanders have done many great things for this country without having the millions that you dish out. Most important of all some have inspired and motivated hundreds, even thousands just by talking. Money does very little to change attitude for the better but words and great ideas lead to sustainable change.

Also remember that people in this forum pay for you and your MP's salary so show some respect when making your comments.

I hope you get what I'm trying to say. If not, God help us all.

welcome New Comer!

wow! it's good to see some new comers, Mr.Maika, ting ting blo u as you've labeled your piece, its good to see your wonrdeful poem writing, off course I am a public servant! my salary is what i get for my job, and it's paid by the government from you guys taxes, its the system that pays me, not your taxes! I must tell you that I do not undermined anyone that has done ahything great for this nation, its my arguement with Mekolo and Doddy on the fact that they think I and my Mp and not doing a good job, well it seems you want to be on their side too, so BRING IT ON! you think that I'm scared about this forum about what i said, i knew this is a public website where the whole bloody world can see my comments,LET THEM SEE! I say what i need to say to balance this issue since evryone think that they are something else, I started my personal attacks cos they started it, look back at all the comments, it's not me who start the fire, i was only expalining the real fact and then it all broke lose! but i remain intact with a high altitude and always avail myself to explain myself in this circus, you don't like me, that's your problem, but I will be here to reply any comments posted on me, it makes life interesting, right?

And if you are asking God to help us all, ask for yourself, trust me, you need him more than I do!!!! DONALD

Huh!

Well keepim for own record blo you, just because I played arrogant and stubborn, you think you can judge me! huh! My point is reality, the world we're living in today, all you caring, honesty stuff, you think its goona change this world, this is just a smaller picture and if you like it or not, nothings wrong with it, but it's just we're wasting time on something that we can't change, life's a bitch, deal with it! In all my comments I potray myself as a ignorant, arrogant and stubborn dumbshit! you admit it that I have a pre-set mind with no doors for critics because that how I want you to picture me, overall I get what I want to know, the whole posting on comments is just to find out more on what I need to know and thanks to all of you for contributing effectively to it.

And lastly about my music, ITS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! buy yourself some earplugs! if not move somewhere else! you don't control everything around you with your fairy tale thoughts! CALL THE COPS If you have too, but like I've said, it's still going to be a dead end!

Doddy, my arguement with you is done, you have being a good contributor and I thank you for all your comments, it is of a great benefit to us.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
