Congratulations on 4th placing.. lets two better next time.
So whats the program for our queen for this year? If we are keen on promoting and encouraging, her reign should be very very conspicuous. Or have we forgotten? Have the organisers gained their profit and skipped?

..so put me on a highway ... and show me a sign ... and take it to the limit .... one more time...
Milicent Barty was a marvelous and deserving ambassador for Solomon Islands at the Pageant. Congratulations for a job well done.
I strongly belive that our next contestants should atleast have a certain criteria to pass before they are eligible. Compared to other girls at the South pacific pegeant ours have no style, no posture and with the lowest qualification attained. I know some people might disagree and say otherwise but just think about it....
if u luk at the contestants for last year's Miss Solomon thingy, Miss Millicent was somehow the only one who answered qns with some kind of good English..pardon me if I'm wrong..I think we need a good English background at school if we are to have Girls who can tackle such issues with confidence..n then the style n posture will follow
Yeah i agree with you about having a strong english background but thats not all there is to it....!! what brings about a strong english and the ability to speak confidently? Education level....for a country that claim english as a national language we failed badly when it comes to speaking english. Not saying our pidgin and other languages is not good but if you are thinking of contesting overseases then im sorry but that dialect u speak while chewing betel nut wont work.
seeing that theyll be another upcoming beauty contest i think there should be criterias....not pleading for girls to come out and join...this is not smthing tom, dick and harry could do.
and it doesnt stop at answering a few questions, it goes way deeper than that...we are lucky that our culture, cultural attire and history is unique enough to help us through but it shouldnt stop there.
goodluck to the new contestants hope this years pegeant bring forth smthing better and exquisite than the last :)
Mind you renee, millicent was by far not one with the lowest qualification.
An International Baccalaureate diploma is the highest possible and most internationally recognised high school diploma attained (Miss Fiji (winner) and Miss Cook Islands (2nd runner-up) both also have International Baccalaureate diploma's but are much older than millicent).
You also forget she is only 19 years of age with a placement at the top 5 design universities in the world ranking, Goldsmith.
Saying millicent had the lowest qualification out of the girls is beyond wrong, because she didn't.
