Today, Solomon Islands MP's will select the country's Governor General. But is 9 vying for the post too much. Should we do an elimination process prior to the election and eliminate some who are obviously just there but have little chances of winning. I mean look at the list:

Sir Nathaniel Waena
John Maetia Kaluae
Alfred Maetia
Frank Kabui
Rev Philemon Riti
Sir Peter Kenilorea
Edmund Andresen
Joses Tuhanuku
John Tuhaika

I think if I remember correctly.

Just watch for next years parliamentary elections. I have assumptions that some constituencies will field in 50 for more candidates.
