 Solomon Star and the regional media had a field day when they highlighted a report which had very strong language about  violence against women. Even stories about women being raped going to get water....daily occurances. Ok i agree this is a real problem BUT try looking at these facts!
* the child sex industry is a billion dollar industry
* children as young as 8 or 10 are used

Was reading through the previous thread by Neo and I remembered a comment I read online today.  Iran and China are notorious for their execution of different kinds of people.  Yesterday, an Iranian man was executed on grounds of heresy because he claimed to be God.  On the other hand, a women (accussed of adultry) has had her execution delayed because apparantly the international orgs, media and some foriegn governments have attempted to intervene.  Are we seeing some issues being biased to women and is that necessary?  I am just wondering.  In the ideal situat

ma hem true nao...TP4 ba hem become 136 faithful followers nomoa..other women garem results best forgotten.  My conclusion, hem no time blo oketa women yet! forget fair representation in parliament...women lo Solomon Islands liberated long time ago...u fala no stap at a disadvantage..u fala simply compete lo level playing field and everyone decided you fala no fit yet....ok when the 136 adds a couple of zeros after it then women save go lo parliament.

On International Day for Women, Solomon Star had on its front page - the story of a battered mother.  I was so disgusted with the picture I did not want to read the paper.  Ella Kahue with usual "defender of women's rights cape" swoops in to tackle the issue.  Then the very next day, the husband comes out with an elaborate tale with so many twists and turns that you could write it as the next episode of Lost.  I mean it was that confusing and without a central theme - the journalist at Solomon Star could have done himself/herself proud, if they would have prodd
